I found nowthen here on KillerStartUps.com today. KillerStartups covers an amazing amount of new site launches, more than any site I follow with maybe Mashable as an exception. Check them out if you get the chance and good luck swimming in the steady stream of sites they cover (30+ per day). Here’s their feed.
This neato mobile idea was launched from the video search geeks at Blinkx! It’s simple, create an account, take a picture on your mobile phone, send it to a nowthen email address and all of the friends in your group receive a heads-up text tellin` em to check your new stuff out. It’s free now but I suspect that mobile ads will be their business model once they reach a desired user base. The readers on KillerStartUps disagree with me, when asked “What will this startup do” 100% voted “Be Bought”.
The ticker based time-line control on their homepage is really slick. Click Now and nowthen will start scrolling in descending order. Use the scroller button if you want to go faster, it’s an incredibly smooth control. For the web heads out there nowthen appears to have written their own javascript controls. No mashup library scripts that I can see. Kudos!
They’re blogging here.
