Holiday shopping is what helps many companies rake in the bulk of their yearly profits. Sitting back and hoping the customers will come to you, however, is not the way to make the most of the golden sales opportunities presented by the holidays.
Here are a few tips to make sure your social marketing campaigns are on point and ready to rake in the holiday shoppers, even before Black Friday.
1. Get ready. Don’t procrastinate. Procrastination is the enemy of a seamless, effective social media marketing campaign, especially during the holiday season. The last thing you want to be doing is panicking, trying to get something up on your pages. You’re also likely going to be short staffed on and off throughout the season, so don’t leave anything to the last minute.
2. Make sure your branding is holiday-themed. If you’re ever going to change up your logo or brand tagline, the holidays is the time to do it, as long as the change is holiday-themed.
3. Make sure your content is still relevant. The holidays give you a little bit of wiggle room to switch up your content — maybe get a little more sentimental—as long as it isn’t a complete diversion from your normal brand message.
