If you believe the speculation rampant across the blogosphere and among industry insiders today, then you may be eager to see the grand unveiling of Apple’s rumored HDTV dubbed “iTV” by tech journalists.
Earlier today, prominent industry analyst and resident Apple watcher Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray said he believes the iTV will be out within 6 to 12 months and cost between $1,500 to $2,000 depending on screen size.
As of this writing, it isn’t thought that Apple is developing a television bigger than 55 inches.
“We believe ‘if’ has been decided and the question is now ‘when.’ We stand by our previously stated timeline of unveiling the TV late this year with a launch in the first half of 2013 (6 months following the unveiling),” Munster said Friday.
As MMW previously reported, Apple may confirm the iTV’s forthcoming launch later this month when the iDevice maker kicks off WWDC 2012 from San Francisco.
