There is great secrecy surrounding Facebook’s big – but still unknown – November 3rd announcement.
The rumor mill has been pumping out one suggestion after the next, but so far, nothing is for certain.
All that is known is that Facebook is holding a major “mobile event” at its Palo Alto, California headquarters this Wednesday November 3.
Rumors have spanned everything from a Facebook-themed smartphone to an announcement that the company will go public.
The blogosphere has been burning with reports of an official Facebook product – most likely a mobile device or phone – although the company has privately noted through sources that no such gizmo is planned.
Google, however, employed a similar tactic of denial prior to unveiling Nexus One early in 2010.
Incredibly, the folks at Facebook haven’t even dropped the slightest hint in its invitation about the nature of the event, which will begin promptly Wednesday at 10:30 am.
