I just caught the commercial during the Patriots Chargers game. Sprint, on the heels of announcing 4000 layoffs and shuttering 125 retail locations has launched a nationwide unlimited text plan for $10 per month. It’s a great looking campaign for a company that had an incredibly difficult week.
They also announced a $200 million dollar accounting charge that will be associated with the severances and layoffs. That’s a lot a scratch for a company that is struggling. Not that layoffs are ever good but it’s nice to see a company come up with severance and in this case it appears to be a considerable amount.
