While most brands and businesses are investing some portion of their marketing budgets into mobile advertising, many are still searching for ways in which in-app advertising fits into the picture.
At present, it’s clear who finds the most apparent benefit from utilizing in app ads. And that’s the makers of mobile apps.
In a recent analysis performed by IDC, it was found that between 60 to 75 percent of all in-app advertising is for other mobile apps.
IDC’s results vary from those of Fiksu, which finds that between 50 to 85 percent of all in-app advertising is for mobile apps. However, Fiksu discovered that the time of year drastically impacts these numbers.
All told, this means that there is now a great opportunity for app creators to advertise their apps within complementary yet noncompetitive apps. Clearly, the data suggests, in-app ads for apps inspires more app downloads.
