Eventcrowd, a full service digital event management agency, and communications leader Marketwired have teamed up to handle media for Social Media Week Miami 2015.
The event is slated for September 14-18 at Miami Dade College.
As part of the partnership, Marketwired will provide news distribution on coverage surrounding the event, including announcing winners of the #SMWMiami Digital Influencers Awards. The awards pay tribute to talented professionals who are leading the way in digital innovation. Also, the event’s website (socialmediaweek.org) will benefit from a customized Marketwired newsfeed with content related to the organization’s activities and media news relevant to its readers.
“We look forward to helping Eventcrowd make Social Media Week Miami the city’s top digital conference,” said Marketwired Vice President, Global Partners and Media Solutions Bernadette Lee. “Through our news distribution platform Marketwired Resonate, not only will messages about the conference reach target audiences, but the agency will also be able to see who is sharing its news on social channels, helping them better understand and leverage the business impact of their communications.”
Social Media Week Miami attracts top social media talent from a variety of fields including advertising, marketing, media, and public relations.
“Simultaneous with the Miami conference, the cities of Sao Paulo, London, Mumbai and Rotterdam will be hosting their Social Media Week conferences. All discussions touch upon this year’s global theme, which is “Upwardly Mobile: The Rise of the Connected Class,” reads a provided statement.
Getting the word out is paramount for the partners.
“Social Media Week Miami is content-rich and attracts the best social media talent, technology experts and influencers in the area; it also draws program participants from around the world,” says Eventcrowd partner spokesman Lawrence Pedrosa. “So it’s only fitting that our news distribution partner offers a powerful platform for spreading the word to the widest group of people possible and helps us build relationships with trendsetters and opinion leaders.”
