The latest rumor across the tech blogosphere is that Apple will hold its next media event on February 24th.
But what will or won’t be unveiled at the event (assuming there is an event in the first place) is the subject of much discussion and debate.
Based on sources in the know, Apple will likely unveil a new MacBook Air featuring Intel Broadwell chips. Additionally, there is rampant speculation that Apple will debut an “iPad Pro” — a tablet optimized for enterprise users.
We may even be privy to a final live demonstration of Apple Watch before the wearable ships in April.
What we probably — okay, certainly — won’t see at the event is a new iPhone and, perhaps most disappointingly, a refreshed Apple TV.
Incredibly, some three years have passed since Apple last refreshed the hardware on Apple TV, the company’s hugely popular set-top streaming box. A growing number of industry analysts believe that Apple will likely debut a connected HDTV within the next 12 to 24 months that features the technology of Apple TV built into the set.
What are you expecting from Apple’s next media event?
