Do you tend to skip a generation or two before getting a new iPhone? If you’re a Verizon subscriber, you may not want to — or have to — thanks to the carrier’s new plan.
“If you purchase either the iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus with Verizon’s Device Payment option,” the carrier said ahead of the weekend.
As of last Friday, Verizon customers are eligible to get a new iPhone every year.

“The new program allows you to turn in your phone and upgrade to a new iPhone every year,” Verizon explains. “If you pre-ordered an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus, you’re automatically enrolled in this program if you’ve elected the Device Payment option.”
What if you’re not interested in upgrading? You still have the option to pay your phone off in 24 monthly payments, Verizon explains in the announcement, which can be read in its entirety here.
