USC Dishes on Looming Global VR Hackathon

USC-Virtual-Reality-Hackathon-Goes-GlobalAccording to a new report from VRJournal, the Second Annual USC Virtual Reality Hackathon is fast approaching.

As noted in the report, the University of Southern California (USC) Center for Body Computing (CBC) has confirmed this year’s focus of the competition — “Medical Empathy Machine.”

This effort will help to showcase the potential of VR to “change medicine and patient experience through emotion, compassion and empathy.”

And we’re told that this year’s hackathon is not limited to Southern California.

“Coders and designers from around the world can submit novel, fully developed VIVE VR solutions online before the deadline of September 12,” event organizers tell VRJournal, noting that submissions can be directed here.
