Samsung is the darling of Barcelona so far, as the company has managed to secure a plethora of positive headlines and a billion dollars worth of marketing buzz in the opening festivities of this year’s Mobile World Congress.
Samsung kicked off the event with the newest additions to the Galaxy family of products — the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. According to the tech giant, the new devices will lead the industry with a unique mobile experience.
“Per the established norm with Samsung,” MAW reports, “the company is leaving it to its carrier partners to announce device pricing and availability in countries around the world. But we can confirm that AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon Wireless will carry the Marshmallow-powered Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge in stores beginning March 11.”
Pre-ordering commences this morning at 8:00 a.m. EST.
Boasting more power, better hardware (including speculator new cameras), and improved overall design, Samsung is hoping to strike back at the heart of Apple, which has continued to make gains on Android across the global mobile landscape with the launch of its best-selling iPhone 6s last fall.
