Apple Goes Fully Mobile for New Ad

Apple Goes Fully Mobile for New AdOn Sunday, as millions of Americans were soaking in the Super Bowl ads that went for a reported $4 million per 30-second spot, Cupertino, California-based tech giant Apple was busy rolling out a different type of ad.

Although Apple was on the advertorial sidelines during the big game, the company still had something up its sleeve last weekend. And it was as much of a mobile-centric commercial as you’re bound to find.

On Sunday, Apple debuted an entirely fan-made mini-movie that recognizes the company’s now legendary rise from underdog Mac-maker to the world’s most profitable company.

“Thirty years ago Macintosh promised to put technology in the hands of the people,” the ad begins. “To celebrate Mac’s birthday, this film was shot around the world in one day, entirely on iPhone. Here’s to the next thirty.”

If you missed the spot, here’s the commercial that not only has everyone talking but also buzzing about the mobile-theme that represented a company first for Apple’s advertising efforts.
