It’s shaping up to be a banner year for global mobile advertising revenue.
According to a new report from MediaJobs released this week, more and more consumers are using their mobile phone to surf the internet and access social media. As a result, a record number of advertisers are turning to mobile marketing as a way to get their message to the masses.
Culling data from the Interactive Advertising Bureau Mobile Marketing Center for Excellence, IAB Europe and HIS, mobile advertising revenue in 2012 skyrocketed to unprecedented numbers.
All told, global mobile advertising revenue climbed by 83% in the last year, and performed even better in the United States.
“Mobile advertising is quickly becoming an important part of many businesses marketing strategy and this will lead to a massive increase in the number of mobile advertising jobs available,” the report reads.
According to those behind the report, this reality means that job-seekers need to be up-to-date on the latest trends in order to achieve.
