Mobile Education Market Growing Faster Than Anticipated

TechNavio is out with a new report, the findings of which were shared with MMW on Wednesday.

The report, which focused on the Global m-Education Market, projects a CAGR of 20.58 percent from 2014-2018, indicating that the mobile education industry is growing much faster than originally anticipated.

The report highlights the need for innovative learning methods and demand for distance learning as two main factors driving this growth in the market.

Education, like every other sector, is being forced to evolve with technology, the report notes.

“Teachers need to adopt a creative approach in order to make the learning process more interesting than ever before. Students are exposed to mobile phones, internet, and other digital media at a very young age and education these days also needs to use similar digital tools. Therefore, schools need to adopt state-of-the-art methods in order to engage students,” says Faisal Ghaus, Vice President of TechNavio Research.

Additionally, this push towards m-education is opening up possibilities for education for populations who otherwise would never be able to benefit from it because of financial, geographical or time constraints.
