Fresh from Apple’s recent iPhone 6, Apple Watch and iOS 8 media blitz, the Cupertino, California-based tech giant is gearing up to make headlines once again next week.
On Wednesday, Apple began distributing invitations to media for an event next Thursday, October 16th.
Although the invite simply states “It’s been way too long,” the characteristically reserved Apple is universally expected to unveil its next generation iPads and possibly more.
“Apple’s desktop Mac line hasn’t gotten a thorough update since June 2013,” CNN reports. “Most Apple analysts expect to see new Macs at the event, which will be held at Apple’s Cupertino, Calif., campus.”
There’s also been talk of a bigger iPad, coming a month after the rollout of bigger iPhones. Some reports have predicted an “iPad Pro” with a massive 12.9-inch screen.
One year ago, on October 22nd, 2013, Apple rolled out its iPad Air and second-gen iPad mini.
