Just because mobile apps, games, and payments generate more headlines than mobile TV doesn’t mean that millions of mobile device owners aren’t regularly watching the tube on their small screen.
In fact, AT&T is doing its part to boost mobile TV viewership even more.
This morning, AT&T U-verse incentivized mobile TV viewing even further with an array of new mobile-ready channels.
All told, 100 live channels on the U-verse App for smartphones and tablets arrived Monday. More than 20 channels are available to watch outside the home.
The new channels are available to U-verse TV customers as part of their U-family or higher U-verse TV package. AT&T will be adding more live channels and expanding the live channels to more devices on an ongoing basis.
“By making live TV content available across devices we’re enabling our customers to watch TV on their terms when and where they want it,” says Mel Coker, Chief Marketing Officer of AT&T Home Solutions. “U-verse has always been about delivering a TV experience built around our customers, and this enhancement gives them even more flexibility and control.”
