It’s happened in the enterprise before. And it will probably happen again.
In recent years, Apple’s iPhones and iPads have replaced traditional BlackBerry devices and other traditional computing gadgets in multiple businesses large and small.
So could Apple’s next big product launch — Apple Watch — similarly infiltrate the enterprise? According to a new job opening at Apple, that’s exactly what the company is hoping for.
First discovered by Apple Insider, Apple wants to hire an “Apple Watch marketing specialist.” The individual tapped to fill the position will “focus on applications of the Apple Watch in the enterprise space.”
“Apple Watch could be a game changer for the enterprise,” says independent market analyst Brian Kent of Toronto. “It could change the way companies communicate and ultimately do business, particularly in retail.”
Apple Watch will be available for preorder beginning this Friday ahead of its scheduled release on April 24th.
