ChaCha.me, the Q&A social network service from ChaCha, can now be enjoyed via mobile devices, a development that will allow users to take advantage of the service when they probably need it most – on the go.
ChaCha.me makes it possible for users to post questions directly from their mobile phones and subsequently watch the answers as they flow in on their ChaCha.me page or even on other prominent social networks, Facebook and Twitter included. The announcement from ChaCha also noted that users can be notified via mobile alerts when they are being asked a question. Essentially, ChaCha.me makes it possible to ask or answer questions wherever you and your mobile phone are located.
“Since we launched ChaCha.me just weeks ago, we have seen explosive growth. ChaCha.me is fully integrated with Facebook and Twitter, and now our users can interact through SMS texting,” says Scott Jones, CEO of ChaCha. “This is significant because now anybody with a Chacha.me account can answer questions anywhere within the ChaCha service.”
Truly making the mobile ChaCha experience a customized one, users are now allowed to post an unlimited number of photos to their profile page, personalize their page, and enjoy a much broader “network view” showing recent activities of everyone they are following.
In the short period of time it has existed, ChaCha has answered more than 500 million questions from approximately 15 million unique users per month via SMS text.
