If it wasn’t before, PayPal is now firmly cemented in mobile across all major mobile platforms.
Citing data from IDC, the folks at PayPal remind us on their blog that there will be a remarkable 1.4 billion shipments of smartphones globally this year. It goes without saying that “we’re not all using the same smartphones.”
Consequently, PayPal wants to ensure that its global digital payments platform is still available to as many consumers as possible, regardless of their personal smartphone preferences. So this past week, PayPal expanded into yet another mobile ecosystem by landing on BlackBerry.
“We’re excited today to introduce the PayPal app for BlackBerry in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia, with more markets to come in the future,” says Priya Rajendran, Solution Manager for Consumer Channels at PayPal.
“The app is now compatible with the BlackBerry Q10, BlackBerry Z10, and the new BlackBerry Classic smartphone,” Rajendran writes on the PayPal blog. “What’s even cooler? With this announcement you can now use the PayPal app on all major mobile platforms, including Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Fire OS and of course BlackBerry.”
If you’re a BlackBerry user who has been waiting for PayPal, grab the app now at BlackBerry World.
